Kicking off BC Sessions for 2022!
BC Sessions is our way of giving back to our Crew for all their amazing work in the field. From monologue prep to business know-how and happy hours, BC Sessions hopes to enrich the everyday lives of our Crew. These sessions have been invaluable in keeping the crew connected while also allowing us to hone old skills or learn something new!
January - Holiday Happy Hour!
After a busy (and sometimes stressful!) holiday season, we thought the Crew deserved a special treat. After gathering for a meeting about the future of the industry and how we fit into it, we headed down to La Macarena in Midtown for some drinks and appetizers! After a long couple of months, it was amazing to get our Broadway Crew family together for some laughs, great chats, and much-needed quality time with our amazing Crew.
February - Spiderman: No Way Home Private Movie Screening!
NYC in February can be a dreary time and what better way to boost morale than taking the whole Crew to a private screening of Spiderman: No Way Home?! We had a blast with everyone at the AMC on 42nd Street and cannot wait to do it again! We arrived and checked in with the AMC staff, purchased all of our popcorn and snacks, then snuggled in to watch Peter Parker’s latest adventures. We shared lots of laughs, a few tears, and a whole lot of fun!
March - Dance Class with MiMi Scardulla!
The more Broadway shows that open, the more excited we get for the upcoming season! For our March BC Session, we worked with Mimi Scardulla who taught a dance class for the Crew! MiMi is a performer and teacher originally from Louisiana and has been seen Off-Broadway in Gigantic, We are the Tigers and on Broadway in Kristin Chenoweth's For the Girls. She is also Kristin Chenoweth's Associate Choreographer! MiMi is currently working on Once Upon a One More Time, the new Brittany Spears Musical. We had an amazing class where the Crew learned a combination for “All You Wanna Do” from the hit musical Six and channeled their inner royalty!
